Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario (HRPAO)

 

The objective of a Human Resources Department is to maximize a company’s return on investment from its human capital. This is definitely a goal defined by the Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario (HRPAO), whose aim is to assist human resources professionals to connect effective people management with business success.

 

As the premier HR association in Canada, HRPAO is internationally recognized and currently has over 16,000 members in 28 chapters in Ontario and other locations around the world. The HRPAO website – www.hrpao.org, provides a range of HR information resources, events, professional development, and networking opportunities.

 

HRPAO grants the designation of Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), which is the national standard for excellence in human resources management, and those who attain the designation meet high levels of expertise and competency in all areas of human resources management. HRPAO assists professionals in getting certified or re-certified, and provides help to internationally trained professionals who would like to enter the field here in Ontario. The website is a great tool if your company is searching for a certified Human Resources Professional, as it provides access to pre-screened resumes of over 15,000 highly skilled HR professionals.

 

HRPAO also delivers learning opportunities for human resources professionals and provides up-to-date management and leadership support. The resource section of their website is created with HR professionals in mind, at every stage of their career. Even the needs of senior HR executives are met through its Executive Forum™. 

 

HRPAO is holding various conferences this spring, and topics covered will range from ‘How to Design and Evaluate Coaching Programs’ to ‘Emerging Trends in Compensation Design and Total Rewards.‘  There are discounts offered to CHRP members and students, and additional savings are offered when registering for all courses together.
